Asanas help improve posture, increase body awareness, and enhance overall well-being by harmonizing breath and movement.
Pranayama (Breathing Techniques): Pranayama involves various breathing techniques practised in yoga to control and regulate the breath. By consciously manipulating the breath, Pranayama helps calm the mind, reduce stress, and increase energy levels. It enhances lung capacity, improves oxygen circulation, and promotes overall respiratory health.
Meditation Techniques: Meditation is a practice that involves focusing the mind and cultivating a state of calm and clarity. Techniques such as mindfulness, mantra repetition, and visualization are used to train the mind to be present and to develop inner peace and self-awareness. Regular meditation practice promotes relaxation, reduces anxiety, and improves mental well-being.
Relaxation & Yoga Nidra: Relaxation techniques and Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) are practices that induce deep relaxation and promote a state of profound restfulness. These techniques involve systematic relaxation of the body, conscious release of tension, and guided visualization to achieve physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. They effectively reduce stress, enhance sleep quality, and rejuvenate the body and mind.
Yoga Philosophy: The prehistoric teachings and tenets that direct modern yoga practice are included in the field of yoga philosophy. It explores concepts such as the eight limbs of yoga, the nature of the self, the path to liberation, and ethical living. Yoga philosophy provides a framework for understanding the holistic approach of yoga and its integration into daily life.
Yoga Teaching Methodology: Yoga teaching methodology involves the techniques and strategies used to share the practice of yoga with others effectively. It encompasses lesson planning, sequencing, demonstration, verbal cues, adjustments, and creating a safe and inclusive environment. Teaching methodology ensures a structured and engaging learning experience for students, fostering their growth and understanding of yoga.
Practical Teaching Experience: Practical teaching experience refers to the hands-on experience of guiding and instructing yoga classes. It allows aspiring yoga teachers to apply their knowledge, develop teaching skills, and gain confidence in leading students through yoga practices. Practical teaching experience allows teachers to refine communication, adapt to different student needs, and create impactful class experiences.
